It’s been a while since my last blog post — and for good reason. Life has been beautifully busy. My daughter just turned two, and wow… what a change that milestone brings! She and her brother (they’re just 15 months apart) recently started at a new school together, and seeing them walk in hand-in-hand as best buddies has been one of those motherhood moments I’ll never forget.
Toddlerhood is such a fascinating stage. It’s full of contradictions — the wild laughter and sudden tears, the independence mixed with the clinginess, the boundless energy paired with the sweetest snuggles. It’s chaos, yes, but it’s also pure magic.
As a mom living this stage, I see the beauty of toddlerhood and the challenges too. Every child is different, with their own needs, rhythms, and quirks. Some days feel like a marathon of emotions; other days are so joyful you wish you could bottle them up forever. The truth is, toddlerhood demands patience, presence, and a good dose of humor.
And for me, the transition from babyhood to toddlerhood will always be tied to the beginnings of TravelTod. I was pregnant with my second child when the idea became more than just a dream. She gave me strength with every kick, while her older brother — at one year just becoming a toddler— unknowingly stood by my side as I navigated a year of building, deciding, and creating. The day the first inventory arrived, I remember looking at those boxes and feeling like it was a miracle. Something born from love, chaos, and sleepless nights was becoming real.
Fast forward to today: TravelTod recently celebrated its first birthday. But the milestone that matters most isn’t the business itself — it’s the two little souls behind it. My children are now the best of friends. She admires him with wide eyes. He adores her and protects her in ways that melt me daily. At school, they search for each other in the playground, holding hands, exchanging smiles, and even having secret little chats. And when I interrupt those conversations, my son quickly reminds me, “I’m talking to Chiara, Mom!” All I can do is smile, celebrate quietly inside, and feel the joy of motherhood’s everyday miracles.
This journey is still tough. The juggle is real. But there’s beauty in the mess, and joy in the in-between moments that keep us going. And from this stage of life, TravelTod continues to draw its purpose — to create pieces that honor the chaos and the calm, the practicality parents need, and the softness our little ones deserve. Whether it’s bamboo baby clothing that keeps toddlers comfy from playtime to nap time, sustainable baby gear that lasts beyond one season, or thoughtfully curated baby gift sets designed with love — everything carries a little piece of this journey.
This month, I’ve also been sharing a daily series of 30 eco-tips for parent–child bonding activities on our Instagram stories. If you haven’t joined yet, follow us HERE, check our highlights and give them a try. Each tip is designed to make eco-living fun, simple, and meaningful for both parents and little ones.
So here’s to toddlerhood: the beauty, the needs, the fun, and the chaos. It’s a stage that challenges us, grows us, and fills our homes with more love than we thought possible.
Thank you for being here and for sharing this journey with me. 💛
With Love,
Giselle
